Learning to play the piano

Regardless of your musical experience, our piano classes are tailored to participants of all levels. We offer comprehensive lessons to help you develop your musical skills and enjoy playing this beautiful instrument.

How does learning to play this instrument enrich us?

Manual skills: Playing the piano requires precision in the movements of the fingers, hands and wrists. Practicing various playing techniques, such as legato, staccato or trills, develops manual dexterity and control over hand movements (hand therapy).

Motor coordination: Playing the piano involves both hands, which perform different musical parts simultaneously. Practicing the independence of hands and coordination between them is crucial for the effective performance of songs on this instrument, which creates new neural connections.

Memory: Learning many pieces of music by heart develops long-term memory and the ability to remember sequences of sounds and chords, which also has a positive impact on other areas of everyday life.

Concentration: Performing a piece on the piano requires focusing attention on the note, rhythm, dynamics and articulation. Practicing concentration while playing the piano can help improve your overall ability to focus and develop short-term memory.

Musical imagination: Interpreting and performing musical works requires creativity and musical imagination. By experimenting with the interpretation and arrangement of songs, participants develop their artistic skills and musical expressiveness.

Emotional development: Music has the power to express and build emotions. Playing the piano allows participants to express their emotions through music and experience the emotions evoked by the songs performed, which may contribute to the development of emotional intelligence.

Self-discipline and perseverance: Learning to play the piano requires regular practice and commitment. Participants develop self-discipline, motivation, planning skills and perseverance in achieving musical goals.
